For the past 15 years, the Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) has been at the forefront of transforming the lives of street-connected children in Ghana. From providing education, healthcare, and family support to advocating for child protection policies, our journey has been one of resilience, impact, and hope.
As we celebrate this milestone under the theme “Celebrating Resilience, Empowering Futures,” we are not only reflecting on how far we have come but also setting the stage for the next chapter—one that is bigger, bolder, and even more impactful.
A Year-Long Celebration of Advocacy & Impact
This anniversary is not just a single event—it is a year-long campaign of advocacy, action, and celebration. Our All Year Round Advocacy Initiative aligns with 13 key pillars, each addressing critical issues affecting street-connected children, from child trafficking and education to healthcare and policy reforms. Every month, we will engage policymakers, communities, and stakeholders through media advocacy, stakeholder forums, and on-the-ground interventions to push for lasting change.
A New Chapter: The SCEF Rebrand
To mark our 15th year, we are rebranding—not just with a new look but with a stronger, more refined mission. Our renewed focus is on scalability, sustainability, and deepening impact. This transformation will position SCEF to expand its reach, forge new partnerships, and continue empowering futures for the next generation of street-connected children.

February 15, 2025 – Sharing Is Caring
A healthcare advocacy initiative providing medical screenings and promoting well-being for street-connected children.
April 11, 2025 – Stakeholder Symposium
A crucial discussion on the full implementation of Ghana’s National Strategic Plan for street-connected children.
April 12, 2025 – IDSC/Volunteer Day
A street walk and advocacy protest urging the new government to prioritize and implement child welfare policies.
June 14, 2025 – Global Water Dances
A powerful dance event advocating for clean water access and climate action.
August 2025 – Back to School Initiative
Providing essential school supplies to street-connected children supported in public schools.
September 1–15, 2025 – Homecoming Caravan
A showcase of SCEF’s journey, highlighting Ghanaian culture, history, and our impact over the years.
September 13, 2025 – SCEF@15 Anniversary Gala
A grand celebration of our achievements, bringing together stakeholders, donors, volunteers and supporters to raise funds for SCEF’s future.
December 27, 2025 – Sharing the Joy of Christmas
A street music concert featuring performances from street-connected children, bringing the year to a heartwarming close.
