Empowering Dreams: SCEF’s Board Restructuring Ushers in a New Era of Hope
In a world where change is the only constant, harnessing its power can lead to unprecedented growth, innovation, and transformation. The Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) understands the vitality of change and recently embarked on an extraordinary journey to revamp its board. With unwavering determination, SCEF recognized the need for fresh perspectives, diverse skill sets, and a renewed commitment to its mission. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of this profound transformation, as three exceptional new board members join our family.
Embracing Growth through Change:
The journey of change often commences with introspection. SCEF has a deep-rooted commitment to empowering street-connected children and enhancing their lives. To fulfill this mission effectively, we knew we needed to adapt and evolve. We embarked on an intensive recruitment process, demonstrating our dedication to the cause and our profound belief in the potential of every child. This journey was challenging, meticulous, and exacting, but it ultimately bore fruit that promises to elevate our impact to new heights.
A Heartfelt Mission:
For years, SCEF was guided by its founder, Paul Semeh, a dedicated advocate for street-connected children who also served as the Executive Director and Board Secretary. The existing board was comprised of individuals who shared this heartfelt vision.
Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu, our esteemed Board Chair, provided strong leadership and direction. Toyin Dania, our Deputy, contributed significantly to the strategic growth of the foundation. Christiana Baafuo-Awuah, SCEF’s Safeguarding Expert, played a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and security of the children we serve. Nnennia Ejebe, our diligent Treasurer, meticulously managed the foundation’s finances, while Kwabena Ankamah Offei-Badi Esq. provided indispensable legal counsel.
New Faces, New Vision:
Recognizing the imperative for fresh perspectives, expanded skill sets, and an extended network of support, SCEF embarked on a rigorous recruitment process, carefully evaluating every candidate. As a result, we have the honor of welcoming three new board members to SCEF’s family:
