Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu
Board Chair
Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu is an educationist, sociologist, developmentalist and a social entrepreneur. After obtaining his first degree in Ghana, he went to Austria and studied for his Masters and PHD at the University of Innsbruck where he later lectured for 15 years.
Dr. Bitugu is an expert in development through sports, which uses the strength and power of sports to address development and other societal issues. Being one of the first Black referees in Austria and the first in Tyrol, Dr. Bitugu is involved in issues of racism, globalisation, and development. Until April 2012 he was the European coordinator of Sport for Development projects with Fair Play at the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation.
More recently, Dr. Bitugu has been selected by UNESCO to be part of the experts to prepare a strategy for adoption by African sports ministers on implementing quality physical education and sports. He is a member of the group of experts appointed by the Commonwealth in London to steer a strategy for all Commonwealth Nations on how to use sports to achieve the United Nation’s sustainable development goals.
He has consulted and continues to consult for numerous organisations in many European and African countries.
Dr. Bitugu has a passion for positive change and so decided to return home and join the process of change going on in his home country Ghana. Thus, from April 2012 to August 2013, Dr. Bitugu served as the country manager of Right To Play Ghana, a branch of Right To Play International which is the biggest sport for development organisation in the world operating in more than 20 countries.
Since October, 2013 Dr. Bitugu is the Director of the Sports Directorate of the University of Ghana, Legon.
Paul Semeh
Founder, Executive Director
Paul Semeh holds a first degree in the social sciences majoring in Sociology and Philosophy. He is a child rights activist, an adult professional trainer, self-motivated young person and passionate about the welfare of children with over ten years of experience in NGO management. With his previous experience working with street children, this project was birthed to empower the ever-growing number of street children and youth on the streets of Accra in the areas of education and skill training.
Paul has trained with relevant certificates and recognition in finance with the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Course on the following specific topics: Introduction to Investments; Fundamentals of Finance and Financial Markets; Corporate Finance; Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management; Securities Trading and Investment Advisory Techniques; Legal & Regulatory Framework and Supervision.
Jacob Sackey
Executive Secretary
Jacob has over the years exhibited diligence, drive and a high level of commitment to duty. For this he has obtained several recommendations from all employers he has worked for. He believes that any other person apart from himself is a customer. He is currently a staff of Vodafone Ghana and has delivered excellent customer services to over 4,000 clients.
Jacob is a “single parent” guardian of a 15 year old boy and solely sponsors his education and upbringing. Jacob also has a passion for animal psychology and has trained several canine entities to pursue protection duties in an obedient way.
Jacob was part of the founding board of trustees of SCEF and has continuously rendered selfless services to children through board duties and supervision of our finances. He believes that the world will be a better place for generations to come, provided children are given the needed support and empowerment to achieve their desired goals. To this end, Jacob sees it a great joy in helping children attain their goals.
Kwabena Ankamah Offei-Badu Esq
Legal Counsel
He currently is a private legal practitioner and a member of a law firm called Otoo & Associates which is led by Hon. J. Ayikoi Otoo, former Attorney General of the Republic of Ghana.
Since his days at the University he has taken part in various ventures and initiatives aimed at empowering disadvantaged children to realize their worth and to reach their utmost heights despite their backgrounds. Serving on the Board of SCEF is therefore a cherished opportunity.
Christiana Baafuo-Awuah
Member (Project Management)
Christiana is a natural leader who has initiated, directed and managed multi-disciplinary teams and services delivering innovative and evidence-based projects to support children and young people at risk of not achieving their socio-educational goals. She designed and implemented Brent Council’s Integrated Working Model commended as a good practice model by the Department for Children Schools and Families. This piece of work was part of the Local Governments’ response to the implementation of the Every Child Matters Agenda: Children Act 2004.
As a change manager and a trouble shooter, Christiana has extensive experience in restructuring services and delivering corporate strategies and she is skilled in policy development. She is moreover skilled in designing and delivering training for children workforce staff on a lot of issues relating to promoting the welfare of children and their families. As a practice assessor she continues to support social work students in their practice.
Christiana currently retired from active work but continues to work as an independent consultant. She undertakes extensive assessments for potential individuals who want to become foster carers in accordance with fostering regulations. In addition, she also continues to offer her services to the children workforce to promote the well-being and education of children and young people with the aim of achieving positive outcomes for all.
Nnennia Ejebe

Toyin Dania
Member (Communication)
She is alsoproficient in recruiting staff, in developing and running training programmes across a wide range of business and management topics. She has a proven experience in managing budgets and in successfully overseeing programmes within set budgetary limits.
Ms. Dania is highly experienced in managing large and small-scale events, sourcing contributors and overseeing the range of activities and personnel involved; and also well-developed sales skills gained from an early career in sales and experienced in negotiating contracts and costs and procuring services.
Ms. Toyin Dania moved to Ghana from the UK to serve as a Project Manager with SOFTtribe Ltd; she does planning, executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. After taking several volunteering trips as the Director of AFFORD Business Centre Project (ABC), a Business Support and Incubation in Ghana and Sierra Leone. She is currently a freelance communication strategist and consultant.
