Bismark Wordui’s Inspiring Journey: From SCEF Graduate Intern to Global Youth Leader
Bismark Sedinam Wordui, SCEF’s Project Officer, is embarking on an educational journey with the Youth Empowerment Lab from October 28 to November 4, 2023, in Osnabrück, Germany. This initiative, which marks the 375th anniversary of the Westphalian Peace Treaty, is all about empowering young minds to be mediators in today’s complex world.
Bismark’s selection for this prestigious program is a testament to his incredible passion for youth empowerment and diplomacy. He is a role model for SCEF’s Graduates Learning Program, having joined SCEF straight from university as a national service personnel and quickly growing through the ranks to become a project officer leading the rescue mission on the streets of Accra, the leader of SCEF’s Sport for development and play-based learning activities, and the project lead for Global Water Dances Accra, which has become the Accra Dances Movement (ADM).
Bismark’s journey to this point is a testament to the power of loyalty, commitment to mentoring, and the importance of learning and growth. He credits SCEF’s Programme Manager Anthony Kojo Bosomtwe, who was then just a Project Officer, with mentoring him and helping him to develop his skills and talents.
Bismark’s participation in the Youth Empowerment Lab is a unique opportunity for him to learn from and collaborate with other young leaders from around the world. Through dialogue, innovative thinking, and a focus on the role of religion in conflict mediation, Bismark and fellow young participants will shape a more peaceful future.
