Children In Street Situations: A Global Crisis

Every day, millions of children around the world find themselves living on the streets. These children are often victims of violence, exploitation, and neglect. They face a constant struggle for survival, and their future is often bleak.

The United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children has released a report on the situation of children in street situations. The report highlights the many challenges these children face, including:

  • Physical violence
  • Sexual violence
  • Exploitation
  • Neglect
  • Discrimination

The report also calls for action to protect children in street situations. This includes:

  • Investing in programs that prevent children from running away from home
  • Providing safe spaces for street children
  • Supporting programs that help street children reintegrate into society

SCEF and You Can Make a Difference

The Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) is a Ghanaian organization that is working to help street children. SCEF provides street children with food, shelter, and education. They also help street children to develop the skills they need to live independent lives.

You can make a difference in the lives of street children in Ghana by supporting SCEF. You can donate to SCEF, volunteer your time, or raise awareness about the issue of street children.

By working together, we can help to create a world where all children are safe and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
