Impacts of COVID-19 on Education in Ghana
The emergence of COVID-19 has affected all sectors of the economy including education. Globally, most countries closed their school nationally as a measure to slow the spread of the virus andGhana wasn’t an exception. On 15th March 2020, all educational institutions in Ghana were closed and it is estimated that about 9.7 million students have been affected by school closures.
This report details the views of stakeholders on the positive and negative impact of the pandemic on education in Ghana and provides some policy recommendations.
