SCEF and Food for All Africa join forces to combat food insecurity and empower street children in Accra

We are excited to announce that the Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) and Food for All Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on reducing food insecurity and improving the lives of vulnerable street children in Accra, Ghana.

Food for All Africa gave SCEF over 300 watermelon


Under this partnership, Food for All Africa will provide nutritious meals to vulnerable street children identified by SCEF on a regular basis. Additionally, Food for All Africa will provide training to SCEF staff and volunteers on food security, nutrition, and food handling and storage. SCEF and Food for All Africa will work together to raise awareness about the issue of food insecurity and advocate for the rights of vulnerable street children. Both organizations will also jointly monitor and evaluate the impact of the collaboration, and share data and best practices.


As part of the partnership, SCEF and Food for All Africa recognize the importance of child safeguarding in all aspects of their work. Both parties agree to adhere to the child safeguarding principles outlined in the MOU to ensure the best interests of the child are paramount in all actions and decisions related to their care and protection.


SCEF will identify and refer vulnerable street children to Food for All Africa for food distribution and provide access to the necessary facilities for food distribution. Food for All Africa will provide reports on the number of meals served, types of meals, and any challenges faced during the food distribution.
This MOU is valid for one year, beginning on Friday, April 21, 2023, and ending on April 17, 2024, and may be renewed upon agreement by both parties. Either party may terminate this MOU with a written notice of 30 days.
