SCEF ORGANIZES CAPACITY BUILDING FOR WOMEN

To mark the International Women’s Day celebration, Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) organized a capacity-building session for women and their +18 beneficiaries at James Town on Tuesday. The training was to empower the street-connected mothers with skills such as beads making and makeup. In total 50 women benefited from this capacity-building process.

However, street-related parents especially, women are unable to fend for their children when they are out of the rehabilitation program. Hence, this program was to provide them with a skill set to trade with to fend for themselves and their wards.
As this year’s theme say #BreakTheBias, this aims to rise awareness of gender equal world, free of stereotypes and discrimination by celebrating women’s achievement and visibility in all sectors.
