Rosemary’s world changed when she lost her father to a sudden stroke, leaving her mother, Beatrice Addo, as the sole provider for their family. Battling to keep the family afloat, Beatrice worked tirelessly until she was struck by shingles, a condition that left her frail and unable to work. As if fate hadn’t finished testing this family, a devastating fire robbed them of their home and belongings, pushing them to a fragile existence in a makeshift shed.
But amidst these trials, Rosemary’s spirit remains unbroken. Despite the challenges, she is a dedicated student, excelling in Form 1 at Adaklu Senior High School. She possesses an insatiable thirst for knowledge and dreams of becoming a lawyer. Rosemary’s aspirations are fueled by the belief that education is her path to a brighter future, one where she can break the cycle of hardship that has plagued her family.
However, Rosemary’s dreams are at a crossroads. The cost of education – transportation, uniforms, books, and examination fees – has become an insurmountable barrier.
